Good policy can be complicated, but meaning well is something everyone can understand. The Office ensures compassion, sincerity, and positive intentions remain at the center of Oregon’s public policy, regardless of the unforeseen consequences those policies may occasionally produce. When outcomes disappoint, we remind Oregonians to focus on what matters most: we were trying to help.
