The mission of the Office of Lowered Expectations is to strengthen Oregon by fostering resilience through the continued alignment of public expectations with evolving realities.
About the Office
When reality consistently fails to meet expectations, there are two choices: improve reality or reconsider the expectations. The Office provides Oregon with the more achievable path by carefully aligning goals, benchmarks, and definitions of success with the conditions we already have. Because sometimes the fastest way to close the gap between where we are and where we should be is to move where we should be closer to where we are.
