The mission of the Department of Successful Failures is to strengthen Oregon through sustained commitment, collaborative engagement, and the continued advancement of initiatives that build upon the progress made through shared effort.
About the Department
Failure is only failure if we stop funding it. The Department recognizes that programs falling short of their goals still produce valuable effort, important conversations, meaningful lessons, and compelling evidence that additional resources may be necessary. After all, abandoning an unsuccessful program now would risk wasting everything we’ve already spent making it unsuccessful.
