Some problems appear to have obvious solutions, which is precisely when government must be most careful. The Bureau protects Oregonians from the dangers of premature common sense by ensuring every straightforward idea receives the studies, stakeholder input, interagency collaboration, and procedural safeguards it deserves. No solution should ever be implemented simply because everyone agrees it makes sense.
